DEAR America is a Harford County, MD based group of concerned citizens formed to promote Democracy, Environmental Protections and sustainability, Animal welfare, and all human Rights. We share news stories, act as support for one another, and participate in activism at many levels.

What’s Happening in America — And Why It Matters

The United States is witnessing the alarming dismantling of our democracy and freedoms, driven by the Trump regime and supported by complicit Republicans. Autocratic (a single entity with absolute power) forces are replacing democratic values, fueled by white Christian nationalism and the radical agenda of Project 2025.

Vulnerable people, animals, and our planet are under systemic attack. The freedoms that generations have fought for are now at risk. If we remain silent and we don’t speak out and protest, the widespread consequences will be felt worldwide by future generations.

This is why we protest. This is why we care. This is why we must act before it’s too late.
